There are numerous events happening around southern Nevada in honor of Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2014. There are also many discounts and freebies being offered to the men and women who served in the United States Military.

Here's a compiled list of events and discounts happening around the valley:

4th Annual National Veterans Day Run
The 4th Annual National Veterans Day Run
in Las Vegas will take place at Bruce Trent Park Sunday, Nov. 9. The race will offer three distances including an 11K, 5K and a 1-mile family and supporter walk/run.  The race starts at 8:11 a.m.  More information on the race here.

Veterans Day Parade
The City of Las Vegas will hold it's annual Veterans Day Parade downtown on Nov. 11.  The parade will start at 10 a.m. on 4th Street.  Bonneville Avenue and Bridger Avenue between Las Vegas Boulevard and 3rd Street will also be closed starting at 6:00 a.m.  Go here for more information on the parade.

Great Clips

Great Clips is offering veterans a free hair cut from Nov. 11 - Dec. 31.  Customers who go into Great Clips for a service on Veterans Day, will also get a free haircut card to give to another veteran.  That card will be redeemable through the end of 2014.

Golden Corral

Golden Corral will give veterans a free buffet meal and beverage on Nov. 17 from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m.

Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat

Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage Hotel & Casino will give all active and retired military personnel a complimentary admission with a valid ID Nov. 7- 16 from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.  Family members who carry dependent and spouse ID cards will receive a $5 discount.

McDonald's

McDonald's locations across Southern Nevada will provide free meals for members of the military during breakfast hours on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11.  Active and retired members of the military with an ID are invited to enjoy a free breakfast sandwich and small coffee from midnight to 10:30 a.m.

Westgate Las Vegas

Westgate Las Vegas will offer a free buffet to veterans on Nov. 11.  One additional guest of the vet will get 25% off the full price of their meal.

Massage Envy Spa

Veterans who book a 60 minute massage on Nov. 11, will be eligible for a 30 minute upgrade with a valid military ID or proof of service.  This offer is good for Massage Envy members and non-members alike.

Downtown Las Vegas Events Center

The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center will salute service men and women by offering free general admission tickets to the performance of Bret Michaels' 'Life Rocks Tour' on Friday, Nov. 7.  Service members must show their IDs.

JCPenny honors vets
All current and former military personnel and family members of active duty, reserves, guard and retirees are welcome to a 20 percent off in-store discount at JCPenny from Nov. 3 - 15. Visit jcp.com/military to print a copy of the coupon.

Death Valley National Park
The National Park Service is waiving the entrance fee at Death Valley National Park on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2014. For more information on other free entrance days in national parks, click here.

Sport Clips
All 12 Sport Clips locations in the Las Vegas valley are dedicated on Nov. 11 to helping a hero. On that day, $1 from every haircut will be donated to Help a Hero scholarships for service members and veterans. Donations are also accepted online.

Couture Bride
Coutour Bride is taking part in a national program called "Brides Across America" on Veterans Day and will be giving away free designer wedding dresses to any member of the military and their soon-to-be spouses on Nov. 11. Proof of military service, with their deployment papers or their spouses, along with military ID is required. The store is located at 950 S. Durango Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89145.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries
All United States Military personnel, active or retired, who dine at one of 10 Five Guys Burgers and Fries locations in Nevada on Tuesday, Nov. 11, will receive free Five Guys or Cajun Style Fries.

McDonald's offers free meals
McDonald's restaurants will provide free meals to members of the military during breakfast hours on Nov. 11. All ID carrying active and retired military members are invited to enjoy a free breakfast sandwich with a small coffee from midnight to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme will offer veterans and active duty military personnel one complimentary doughnut of any variety and one complimentary small coffee on Tuesday, Nov. 11.



































Golf Summerlin

Cantina Laredo




On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Cantina Laredo will say thank you to all veterans and active duty military with a complimentary meal up to a $15 value with a valid military ID. The restaurant will also set up a Fallen Warriors Table as a tribute.
