NASCAR Hauler Parade and Sprint Series Practice Moved | Sports
Two of the most popular parts of NASCAR week in Las Vegas are moving.
The NASCAR Hauler Parade will now be held Wednesday, March 6 on the Las Vegas Strip. The parade features the colorful 18-wheelers used to haul the cars and equipment to tracks around the country.
The parade will start at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign on the south end of the Strip, travel up to Sahara Avenue and enter I-15 northbound to make their way to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The parade has traditionally been held the Thursday before race weekend begins. The change is necessary to make room for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice at the speedway.
The all-day practice was originally scheduled for January, but has been moved to Thursday, March 7. From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the public will be able to watch the practice in the grandstands at the speedway, free of charge.
This year’s NASCAR weekend kicks off Friday, March 8 with the Stratosphere Pole Day. The NASCAR Nationwide Series Sam’s Town 300 will start at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, March 9. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt Tools 400 will start at noon Sunday, March 10.
Tickets for NASCAR weekend, along with passes for preferred parking and the Neon Garage, are available now at lvms.com or by calling (800) 644-4444.
