Strip Performer Encourages Students to Read During Career Week Stop

Strip performer Mac King took his brand of comedy and magic to the students of Heard Elementary School last Wednesday.

King wasn’t just there to entertain; he also had a message for the students. His show was part of Career Week 2012. King told the students how he was inspired to become a magician after checking out a book about magic from his elementary school library. He encouraged the students to check out their libraries to find the subjects that interested them. He also donated an autographed copy of his book  "Tricks with Your Head" to the school library.

The comedian and magician performed some magic tricks and read the students a few books. King is in his 12th year as the headliner at Harrah’s Las Vegas.
