Thousands of Military Members Use Buffet Passes

Caesars Entertainment says more than 2,600 active and retired members of the military took advantage of free buffet passes on Veterans Day.

Most people used the passes at the Carnival World Buffet or the Village Seafood Buffet at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, but the passes could be used at any of the buffets at Caesars’ properties. The second choice was Le Village Buffet inside Paris Las Vegas, which features made-to-order dishes from five French provinces.

Tip-a-Cop and help the Special Olympics.

Police will being turning in their badges for serving trays for the annual Tip-a-Cop event to benefit the Special Olympics. The officers from Metro, North Las Vegas, Nevada Highway Patrol, Henderson Police, even School Police will be working as waiters at Applebee’s around the valley to raise money for the charity. Last year's event raise more than $35,000 dollars.

Special Olympics is a free, year-round sports training for children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Dinner service starts at 5 o’clock until 9 o’clock tonight. Here’s a list of the participating restaurants and law enforcement agencies:

Two people can eat there for less than $50 dollars and you'll have a doggie bag too. Leave room for dessert. Good sweets here.
