Flyball Tournament to Benefit Animal Organization
Fast-flying canines will be doing their best to win at an interesting competition going on this weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The dogs will be competing in the Fly’N Aces Need4Speed Flyball Tournament. The event starts at 7:45 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Nationwide Series garage in the superspeedway infield.
More than 300 dogs will be part of the Flyball event. The dogs will race from the starting line, jump over a line of hurdles, release a tennis ball from a spring-loaded box, grab the ball as it shoots in the air and then return the ball to their handlers.
The event will benefit the Greg Biffle Foundation. The foundation was started by NASCAR driver Greg Biffle and his wife to improve the well-being of animals. The event is free and open to the public.
