Metro ID's officer who shot man | News
LAS VEGAS -- The police officer who shot and killed a man has been identified as Officer Bradley Cupp, 36, who has been with Metro since 2003.
Cupp shot 43-year-old Francis Lamantia Spivey near Nellis Boulevard and Craig Road on Feb. 25 after he barricaded himself inside an apartment for hours and fired gunshots into the air.
Police said Spivey threatened to kill himself and officers at the scene and was shot after he pointed a rifle toward police.
This is the second officer involved shooting in Metro's jurisdiction this year and the first that's turned deadly.
