Red Flag Exercises Scheduled to Start Monday | News
Nellis Air Force Base is again getting ready to host Red Flag Exercises at the end of February and into March.
The exercises are scheduled to start February 25 and last through March 15. They are realistic combat training for the U.S. Air Force and are part of a series of advanced training programs hosted by Nellis.
Red Flag takes place north of Las Vegas on the Nevada Test and Training Range. The exercises means people living near the base and the test range will hear more aircraft. More than 125 aircraft are scheduled to depart from Nellis twice a day around noon and then again at around 6 p.m.
The 414th Combat Training Squadron will be executing Red Flag. Airmen and aircraft from around the country and the world will be here for the exercises.
