LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police are investigating a woman's body found in a dumpster near Nellis Air Force Base.

The woman has been identified by the Clark County coroner as 28-year-old Josephine Butler. The cause of death is still pending.

According to homicide detectives, Butler was found in a duffle bag by an employee of a business near Las Vegas Boulevard North and Craig Road Tuesday.

Butler's family members say she had a history of arrests and may have fallen in with the wrong crowd.

"The hardest thing was breaking this to her little daughter, my niece. She's 7 years old. It's the horrible way they found her. These people need to pay for it, whoever it is," said Eric Newman, Butler's brother.
