Nellis Air Force Base has announced plans for this year's Aviation Nation, the largest free public event in Nevada.

This year's air show will be November 10 and 11. It will include several military air demonstration teams, including the U.S Air Force Thunderbirds. There will also be displays of current and historic military aircraft. There will also be a kids' zone.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase, but entrance onto the base will be free. There will also be free parking at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway where a shuttle will provide round-trip service to the base. People attending the event will go through security to get on the base.

Here is a list of items that will not be allowed on base:

  • Coolers, grills, glass containers, and large lawn chairs.
  • Weapons, illegal drugs, fireworks, scanners, laser pointers, fixed blade
  • knives and folding knives longer than 3 inches.
  • Pets except for service animals.
  • Excessively large storage items and bags. The only exceptions are diaper
  • bags, small purses and small camera bags.
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards and rollerblades/skates.
