Goodwill Receives Grant to Start Veterans Work Program | Employment / Jobs
A grant to Goodwill of Southern Nevada is expected to help hundreds of veterans and their spouses back into the work force.
Nevada Women's Philanthropy granted Goodwill $350,000 to set up the Veteran Integration Program. With the money, the nonprofit will be able to hire three full-time career specialists with a background in the military to help veterans transition out of the military and into the civilian workforce.
The new program is expected to be up and running in the next 30 days. The program organizers hope to help 400 veterans in southern Nevada over the next two-years.
