United Way Remembers 9/11

The United Way of Southern Nevada is marking the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11 with a campaign encouraging people to volunteer.

The Nevada Remembers Campaign invites people to thank members of the military by pledging to serve their community. People interested will pledge to volunteer throughout the whole year. They will then write a note of appreciation that will be delivered to Nellis Air Force Base or the Naval Reserves.

You can sign up to serve, track hours and see how many hours have been pledged at www.VolunteerCenterSN.org. HandsOn Nevada is running the program. It is a program of the United Way that works with companies, families, and individuals to create volunteer opportunities.
