Electronic Music Fest Organizers Make Donations

The organizers of the country's largest electronic music festival made three big donations Wednesday to three Las Vegas non-profits.

Insomniac Events put on the Electric Daisy Carnival this past June at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The event brought around 230,000 people from around the country for three days of music and performance art.

At a presentation Wednesday the event organizer donated $75,000 from ticket sales to Clark County School-Community Partnership Program, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, and Injured Police Officers Fund. Each non-profit received $25,000 from Insomniac Events.

Before the event there were concerns about security and safety because of past problems at concerts in California and Texas but the festival had no major problems.
