The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West will hold a free public concert at 4 p.m. on April 17 at Eldorado High School.

The band has performed at gubernatorial inaugurations and presidential visits, and band members have worked with renowned artists such as Toni Tennille, Marvin Stamm, Bob Hope, Jimmy Stewart, Billy Dee Williams, Rich Little, Joan Rivers, Rosemary Clooney, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Vince Gill, and the Boston Brass.

The group performs more than 500 shows annually for roughly 1.5 million listeners. They play in civilian communities throughout California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Nevada, and also support events at 10 Air Force Bases, five Air Force Reserve Wings and five recruiting squadrons.

The Band of the Golden West, stationed at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., is the only remaining active duty Air Force band west of the Rockies. For more information please visit www.bandofthegoldenwest.af.mil
