Electric Daisy Carnival Announces Return | Arts & Culture
After a relatively peaceful event despite fears of much larger problems, the Electric Daisy Carnival returns to Las Vegas next year.
The music and art festival held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) will take place June 8-10.
“When Insomniac decided to produce EDC in Las Vegas last June, we knew we were working with the ideal venue but we weren’t sure how our fans would react,” said Insomniac President and CEO Pasquale Rotella. “But after seeing more than 230,000 people show up to enjoy our show we knew we picked a city and venue that serves as the perfect home for the largest electronic music festival in North America.”
"The promoter of EDC, Insomniac, demonstrated that it operates a well-organized, safe and secure event. The people at Insomniac are proven professionals,” said Chris Powell, president of LVMS.
Las Vegas Events will be involved in the production of the 2012 event
Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas was internationally recognized in September at the 2011 DJ Awards in Ibiza as the International Festival of the Year, where Rotella was in attendance to receive the award.
